I am a qualified Active After School Communities Coach and have a Police Clearance and hold a Senior First Aid Certificate. At Tugra Shan Martial Arts we are lucky enough to occassionally have guest coaches come and teach the kids.

I recently attended the Richard Norton seminar. Richard Norton began his career working with the Soke Bob Jones (Bob Jones Corporation) as a body guard for some of the biggest rock bands in the seventies (yes that’s right, the seventies!- when long hair and flared jeans were the fashion). Soke brought Chuck Norris out to Australia in 1978 and whilst here, Norris invited Richard to train with him in the USA. In the late seventies Richard went to the USA as body guard for Linda Ronstadt and began training with Chuck Norris daily. Richard acted in his first movie role in the Chuck Norris film ‘The Octagon’. He went on to forge a movie career co starring with many famous martial artists including Chuck Norris, Benny the Jet, Jackie Chan, Cynthia Rothrock and many more. He also trained for many years with world famous martial artists including Chuck Norris, Benny the Jet, Tadashi Yamashita, Pete ‘Sugarfoot’ Cunningham, Fumio Demura, Bill Wallace and many more.

I also attended the Supreme Grandmaster Cacoy Canette Adelaide Seminar in April, 2010. The Supreme GM is 90 years old but is still sharp with his stick fighting and jujitsu skills, and is a formidable opponent even at his age.
